Oval acetabulum is mainly indicated for larger cavity and segment defects of a bone bed. Oval socket shape enables optimal preservation of bone tissue and motion of contact spherical surface to original positron when using eccentric insert.
Acetabular component MO is designed with an oval meridian crosssection. The anchoring part of the acetabular component is made of titanium alloy Ti6AI4V (ISO 5832/III). The anchoring surface of the bone bed is provided with combined porous coating with contact hydroxiapatite layer. The anchoring part has openings for additional fixation with bone screws.
