The implant is used for primary replacement of wrist joint especially in case of rheumatic destruction IV. – V. according to Larsen, primary and secondary arthritis, psoriatic destruction and aseptic necrosis of carpal bones.
Replacement is modular in three basic sizes. The implant consists of two basic components – radial and carpal. Radial component is formed with a concave acetabulum chirulen insert (UHMWP) and with anchor stem. Carpal component consists of main stem intended for fixation in the diaphysis III. metacarpal and antirotational pin for fixation in the distal row of carpal bones.
Both fixation elements are connected by the transverse zone, which is equipped with a conical neck for the deployment of the joint head. Anchors are made of titanium alloy Ti6Al4V (ISO 5832-3). The head is made of CoCrMo (ISO 5832-4). Anchoring parts of the carpal component are partially equipped with combined porous titanium surface coated with hydroxyapatite.
